Pac 6500 Single Gas Monitor for Carbon Monoxide (CO)
Precise, robust, and versatile
The Dräger Pac® 6500 is a reliable single-gas measuring device for demanding environments. It impresses with short response times, a wide measuring range (e.g., 1 to 1,999 ppm for CO), and a robust design. With its intuitive operation and customizable alarm thresholds for TLV® (Threshold Limit Value), TWA, and STEL (15-minute short-term value), it ensures maximum safety – whether in industry, rescue missions, or hazardous zones.
Reliable alarms for maximum safety
The Pac® 6500 reliably warns of dangerous gas concentrations. The 360° alarm function, consisting of LEDs, 90 dB signal, and vibration, ensures maximum attention. Peak values are clearly displayed and can be stored for analysis. Alarm thresholds are factory preset and customizable (e.g., 30 ppm for CO as A1 alarm, 60 ppm as A2 alarm). Further information can be found in the product data sheet.
Robust design for demanding conditions
The shock-resistant, chemical-resistant housing (IP68 protection class) withstands dust, water, and extreme temperatures (-40 °C to 55 °C depending on the sensor). An exchangeable membrane filter protects the sensor from contamination – for long-term use even under extreme conditions.
Easy operation and overview
The clearly structured display shows gas concentrations, battery status, and important information – even in darkness. Color-coded housing prevents confusion between different variants, and the D-Light function signals readiness for use.
Internal selective filter – not replaceable
Elimination of cross-sensitivities from alcohols and acidic gases (H2S, SO2). The filter lifetime can be calculated as follows: 10,000 ppm x hours of pollutant. Example: at a concentration of 10 ppm H2S, the usage duration = 10,000 x hours/ 10 ppm = 1,000 hours. The response time of the measurement value increases after inserting the filter.
Special features
This sensor offers excellent sensitivity and fast response times while reducing cross-sensitivities. The integrated selective filter effectively filters out interfering gases such as alcohol and acidic gases (H2S, SO2).

Relevant cross-sensitivities - Dräger Sensor XXS CO LC
The values given in the table are guidelines and apply to new sensors. The specified values may vary by ±30%. The sensor may also be sensitive to other gases (data available upon request from Dräger). Gas mixtures can be displayed as a sum. Gases with negative sensitivity may cancel a positive display of CO. It should be checked whether gas mixtures are present.
