The gas detection device Pac 8500 CO-H2 CP selectively measures carbon monoxide up to a hydrogen concentration of 1000 ppm (2.5% LEL).

Carbon monoxide and hydrogen can simultaneously occur in work areas such as the steel industry, refineries, and wastewater treatment plants. Hydrogen affects the CO signal in commercial sensors, leading to false alarms. The DrägerSensor® XXS CO H2-CP operates with two measurement electrodes, where one electrode measures CO and H2, and the other only H2. By calculating the difference between the two signals, only the CO value is displayed. Thus, a hydrogen concentration of 1000 ppm (2.5% LEL) results in a maximum display of 15 ppm CO without triggering the CO alarm.

  • Single-gas measuring device for personal measurement
  • Sensor: hydrogen-compensated carbon monoxide sensor
  • Standard measuring range: 0 to 2000 ppm
  • A1/A2 alarm thresholds: 20/40 ppm
  • Highly visible 360° alarm, acoustic and visual
  • The gas detector has a powerful XXS sensor technology with high response speed
  • Storage of concentrations and results with date and time

Perform mandatory function tests before each use with the Dräger test and calibration stations and the corresponding test gases. Basis for the function tests are the information sheets T021 / T023 (DGUV Information 213-056 or DGUV Information 213-057). For further information, please click here.

If you wish for an individual alarm threshold configuration, please specify the alarm thresholds at the end of the ordering process in the comment field.

Relevant Cross Sensitivities - Dräger Sensor XXS CO H₂-CP

The values given in the table are guide values and apply to new sensors. The values can vary by ±30%. The sensor may also be sensitive to other gases (data available on request from Dräger). Gas mixtures can be displayed as a sum. Gases with negative sensitivity can compensate for a positive CO display. It should be checked if gas mixtures are present.
