How Does a Full-Face Mask Work?

A full-face mask covers the eyes, nose and mouth in a single sealed unit, held in place by an adjustable head harness. Many Dräger full-face masks feature a standard Rd40 round-thread connection to EN 148-1, which accepts a wide range of Rd40 particle, gas and combination filters, as well as compatible powered air-purifying respirators and airline systems. It is always worth checking the mask connector and the approved combination of components to make sure the filter suits the hazard you are dealing with.
