The Dräger X-zone 5500 is an explosion-proof area gas monitor that turns a portable X-am gas detector into a quasi-stationary monitoring station, with a 108 dB alarm and a wireless alarm chain of up to 25 units.

Area monitoring without cabling or commissioning

A Dräger X-am gas detector is placed inside the X-zone, which takes over its readings and amplifies the alarm well beyond what a portable instrument can achieve on its own. The radio link between units establishes itself automatically, so a monitoring chain can be set up and moved by the work crew without a specialist.

Integrated pump for clearance measurement

The pump version draws samples through up to 30 m of hose at 0.5 l/min, allowing shafts and vessels to be cleared from outside before entry.
