MicroTubes for alcohol measurement with the X-act 7000

Dräger MicroTubes for alcohol (ethanol, methanol, i-propanol, n-butanol) are short-term measurement tubes for the Dräger X-act 7000 analyser, covering 10 to 5,000 ppm. Alcohol vapours are flammable and, in the case of methanol, acutely toxic.

  • Measuring range 10 to 5,000 ppm – matched to the concentrations that matter when you assess alcohol exposure or trace a leak.
  • Read out automatically by the X-act 7000 – the analyser evaluates the tube and shows the concentration directly, so there is no colour scale to judge by eye and no operator interpretation to defend afterwards.
  • Ready to use straight from the box – no calibration, no warm-up time and no sensor to replace; each tube carries its own batch data for the instrument to read.
  • A documented spot measurement in minutes – ideal where a permanently installed monitor would be disproportionate but a defensible reading is still needed.

Measured gas and detection range

  • Alcohol (ethanol, methanol, i-propanol, n-butanol)

Technical data of these MicroTubes

  • Measuring range: 5 to 2500 ppm (Ethanol) / 10 to 5000 ppm (i-Propanol) / 10 to 5000 ppm (Methanol (calibration substance)) / 7 to 3000 ppm (n-Butanol)
  • Measurement time: approx. 20 to 450 s
  • Standard deviation: ± 25 %
  • Permissible ambient temperature: 10 to 35 °C
  • Permissible humidity: 1 to 30 mg/L

Typical applications for these MicroTubes

  • Distilleries, pharmaceutical production, printing works and solvent stores.
