The Dräger X-am 2500 Multi Gas Detector is a portable 1- to 4-gas monitor developed for personal protection.

  • Gas detector Dräger X-am® 2500 measures CH4 (LEL), O2, CO and H2S at the same time
  • Standard sensor configuration for clearance measurement in confined spaces and vessels
  • Leak detection and area monitoring in plants and utility networks

Measured gases and ranges:

  • Ex/LEL – CatEx 125 PR sensor, 0 to 100 %LEL (CH4 additionally 0 to 100 vol.%)
  • O2 – DrägerSensor XXS O2, 0 to 25 vol.%
  • CO – DrägerSensor XXS CO LC, 0 to 2,000 ppm
  • H2S – DrägerSensor XXS H2S LC
  • Optional sensor channels: NO2 (0 to 50 ppm) and SO2 (0 to 100 ppm)

Key features:

  • 360° visible optical alarm, audible alarm of more than 90 dB(A) at 30 cm and vibration alarm
  • A1 pre-alarm (acknowledgeable) and A2 main alarm (latching), plus STEL (15 min) and TWA (8 h) alarms
  • More than 12 hours of operation with alkaline or NiMH batteries, more than 13 hours with NiMH HC
  • IP67 protection with sensors fitted, operating temperature −20 to +50 °C
  • ATEX and IECEx approved for use in Zone 0, 1 and 2
  • Robust housing, dimensions approx. 48 x 130 x 44 mm, weight approx. 220 to 250 g

Typical applications:

  • Personal gas monitoring at the workplace
  • Clearance measurement before entering tanks, vessels, shafts and confined spaces (with the matching pump)
  • Sewer, water and utility work
  • Chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas plants
  • Steel production, mining and tunnelling
  • Shutdown, maintenance and hot work permits

Carry out the prescribed function tests before every use with Dräger test and calibration stations and the corresponding test gases. Automatic bump tests, calibration, alarm checks and response time verification are available via the Dräger X-dock 5300 or the Bump Test Station, with full documentation of results.
