X-plore 8000 gas filter K2 for ammonia and amines

Genuine Dräger X-plore 8000 Gas Filter K2 for the Dräger X-plore 8000 powered air purifying respirator, supplied as a single filter.

Filter type K2 – for ammonia and organic ammonia derivatives, the classic requirement in refrigeration plant, agriculture and fertiliser production.
Made for the X-plore 8000 blower – the bayonet fitting locates and seals against the blower unit, so the filter cannot be half-fitted without the user noticing.
Powered air rather than lung power – the blower draws air through the filter, which is what makes a full shift in a mask bearable and keeps a slight positive pressure inside the facepiece.
Genuine Dräger filter – certified to EN 12941 / EN 12942 as part of the approved X-plore 8000 system.

Class 2 – the higher gas absorption capacity, for longer working periods or higher ammonia concentrations.
A gas filter alone offers no protection against particles; add a particle filter where dusts or aerosols are also present.

Powered filtering devices must never be used in oxygen-deficient atmospheres or where the contaminant and its concentration are unknown.
Only filters of the same type and class may be used together on one blower unit, and they should be replaced as a matched pair.
