The Dräger X-zone 5800 is an explosion-proof area gas monitor that turns a portable X-am gas detector into a quasi-stationary monitoring station with a 108 dB alarm and wireless alarm forwarding.

How wireless area gas monitoring works

A Dräger X-am gas detector is placed inside the X-zone. The X-zone takes over its readings and amplifies the alarm, while the LED ring signals the status at a distance: green for normal operation, red for alarm. The radio connection between units establishes itself automatically – no configuration, no cabling, no commissioning by a specialist.

This version is supplied as the 868 MHz variant with 24 Ah battery and pump.

Integrated pump for clearance measurement

The pump version draws samples through up to 30 m of hose at 0.5 l/min, so a shaft or vessel can be cleared from outside before anyone enters, and monitored continuously afterwards.
