The Dräger Multi Gas Monitor 5600 is a compact 6 gas detector for personal protection, monitoring up to six flammable and toxic gases plus oxygen in ambient air simultaneously.
- Gas detector Dräger X-am® 5600 with 1 to 6 exchangeable measuring channels in the smallest housing of its class
- Infrared sensor measures hydrocarbons and CO2 reliably even in the absence of oxygen – where catalytic sensors reach their limit
- Continuous workplace monitoring, clearance measurement and work in explosion-hazard areas
Available sensor technology:
- Infrared sensors: IR Ex and Dual IR Ex/CO2 for hydrocarbons and carbon dioxide
- Catalytic sensor CatEx 125 PR for flammable gases and vapours
- DrägerSensor XXS electrochemical sensors for O2, CO, H2S, CO2, NO, NO2, SO2, NH3, Cl2, PH3, HCN, H2, O3 and further gases
- Measuring ranges depend on the sensors fitted
Key features:
- Optical alarm, multi-tone audible alarm of approx. 90 dB(A) at 30 cm and vibration alarm
- IP67 protection, ATEX and IECEx approved for Zone 0, 1 and 2
- Approx. 9 hours of operation with alkaline batteries or the NiMH T4 power pack
- Compact and light: 130 x 48 x 44 mm, approx. 220 to 250 g
Typical applications:
- Personal gas monitoring at the workplace
- Clearance measurement before entering tanks, vessels, shafts and confined spaces
- Inerted plant sections and oxygen-free atmospheres, where the infrared sensor is essential
- Work in explosion-hazard areas and hot work permits

Carry out the prescribed function tests before every use with Dräger test and calibration stations and the corresponding test gases.
