The Dräger X-am 8000 is a portable 7 gas detector with integrated pump, displaying up to seven flammable, toxic and oxygen readings simultaneously for clearance measurement and leak detection.

Gas detection with up to seven measuring channels
Five sensor slots accept four different sensor technologies, which makes the X-am 8000 the most flexible instrument in the X-am range:
- PID sensors for volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- Infrared sensors for hydrocarbons and CO2, measuring reliably even in the absence of oxygen
- Catalytic CatEx sensors for flammable gases and vapours
- Electrochemical sensors for oxygen and toxic gases
This unit is supplied as the X-am 8000 Basic Pump version. Sensor dampers and sensor placeholders for CatEx and IR are fitted at the factory; the sensor configuration is defined for your rental order.
Integrated pump for clearance measurement before entry
The built-in pump draws samples from up to 45 metres away, allowing tanks, shafts, vessels and ducts to be cleared before anyone enters. Switching between pump and diffusion mode takes seconds, so one instrument covers both clearance measurement and personal monitoring throughout the shift.
